NASCAR driver Carl Edwards is stepping away from the sport due to a multitude of reasons, including a sense of satisfaction with his career, a desire to stay healthy and a desire to pursue other things. Edwards, 37, made the announcement Wednesday morning at the Joe Gibbs Racing facility. “I am personally, truly satisfied with my career. You know I don’t just race for the trophies." Edwards debuted in NASCAR's top flight in 2004 and finished second in the Cup standings on two occasions.
