Colonial Pipeline Co said it has resumed repairs on Saturday to its damaged Line 1 gas pipeline. Work was temporarily halted "due to vapors at the site of the leak." Last Friday the company shut down its main lines running from the Gulf Coast to the East Coast when a leak was found in Shelby County, Alabama. The damaged line, which runs from Houston to Greensboro, North Carolina can transport 1.2 million barrels of gasoline per day. Prices in some regions jumped overnight due to the leak. An analyst from Gasbuddy.com said, "This is a problem that could grow as long as supply or shipments from Colonial aren’t enough to keep pace with demand."
